What it does
Everything happens on your device. There is no account to create.
Photograph your gear
Add items straight from the camera or your photo library. Several photos per item, so a lure looks the same in the app as it does in the tray.
Details that matter
Brand, size, price, where you bought it, and free-form notes — so you can find that one lure again a year later, and remember what it cost.
Categories & search
Rods, reels, line, baits & lures, jigs, hooks, weights, floats, terminal tackle, fly fishing, tools, storage and more. Search by name or notes, filtered by category.
Works offline
Your inventory is stored on the device itself. No signal at the lake means no difference to the app.
iCloud sync
Sign in to iCloud and your box follows you to your other devices, through Apple's private database. Not through any server of mine.
Dark mode
Follows the system appearance, which matters more than it sounds like when you open the app before sunrise.
Free and PRO
The free version holds ten items — enough to see whether the app earns a place on your home screen. PRO is a single purchase that never expires.
- → Unlimited items. Keep your whole tackle box in one place.
- → Export your inventory. A ZIP data archive or a shareable PDF photo catalog — your data is never locked in.
- → Pay once, keep it forever. No subscription and no ads — now or later.
iCloud sync ships to everyone, free and PRO alike.
Privacy, briefly
The Tackle Box has no accounts or advertising. Your item names, photos, notes, prices, and other inventory content stay in the app's own storage on your device and — if you are signed in to iCloud — in your personal iCloud account, which I have no access to.
The app sends limited pseudonymous usage events to Mixpanel's EU service so I can understand how the app is used and improve its reliability and usability. It never sends your inventory content, payment details, advertising identifier, precise location, or raw error messages, and the data is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
