Enable call blocking

  1. Open Ringfold's setup guide and tap Open Settings.
  2. In iOS Settings, open Apps → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification (the path may vary by iOS version).
  3. Enable Ringfold, return to the app and check the activation status.
  4. Create a rule, review its numbers and tap Save rule. With protection enabled, Ringfold sends the update to iOS automatically. Keep the app open until the update finishes.

If Ringfold does not appear immediately, launch it and return to Settings. You can continue setup with one free ordinary rule. Buying Pro does not enable the iOS extension automatically.

Check whether changes reached iOS

Saving, toggling or deleting rules, changing exceptions and confirming a backup import trigger automatic updates when protection is enabled. Saved changes may still be pending if the extension is disabled or iOS rejects an update. Return to Ringfold, check protection and use the retry action if an error is shown. An iOS-confirmed update means the list was accepted; it is not a record of blocked calls.

Add numbers from a screenshot

  1. Open Add from Photos in Ringfold and choose one screenshot from the system picker.
  2. Check the number country. Tap one or more detected numbers in the image or the number list; Select all selects the detected numbers, with duplicates counted once.
  3. Review selected numbers. One number can open an ordinary rule; multiple numbers open an exact-number list. Choose a new or existing list and review its contents before saving. Lists require Pro.

Text recognition happens on your iPhone. If a number is missing or incorrect, choose a clearer screenshot, check the country or enter it manually. Only complete numbers can be recognized reliably. If an iCloud image cannot be read, download it in Photos first. You can add more numbers to a list from another screenshot.

Use the iOS Share menu

Share a screenshot, text containing a full phone number, or a contact to Ringfold. Check the country and select the numbers you want. For one selected number, Block this number can save an exact rule and attempt the iOS update, subject to your plan limit. Read the result: saved does not always mean applied.

To choose a range or save several selected numbers as a list, save the draft and then open Ringfold. Review and save it there; a draft alone has not blocked any numbers. Multiple selected numbers can be added to a new or existing Pro list.

Choose the country of your numbers

Open Settings → Default number country in Ringfold. This can differ from your phone's language or region. Enter a local number using the displayed example, or paste an international number beginning with +. You can also change the country while reviewing a screenshot or shared content.

A wanted number is blocked

Use Check a number to see whether your saved rules cover it. Add an exact exception or narrow, disable or delete the matching rule. For a list, remove the number or add an exception. Changes update automatically when protection is enabled; wait for iOS confirmation. An overlapping rule may still cover the number, while an exception excludes it from all Ringfold rules. Exceptions affect Ringfold only; check other blockers and iOS settings too.

A call still arrives

Check that Ringfold is enabled and the latest update was confirmed. Confirm that the number is covered by an enabled rule or list and is not excepted. Ringfold cannot identify all spam automatically. Callers may still reach voicemail, depending on iOS and your carrier. Ringfold cannot remove entries from call history or delete voicemail. Coverage counts and the number checker describe your rules, not calls that were stopped.

Caller identification labels

The rule or list name is also supplied to iOS as a caller identification label. A blank name uses Your rule. iOS controls when and how labels appear and adds the app name; contacts saved on your iPhone may take priority. A label is not proof that a call was blocked, and Ringfold cannot promise a custom label on every Phone screen.

Free use, subscriptions and restoration

The free plan includes one ordinary single-number or range rule, range templates, exceptions, the number checker and backup tools. Exact-number lists and the Number list template require Pro, even for one list. Pro also enables multiple rules. You can review imported numbers before subscribing.

US base prices are US$0.99/month or US$5.99/year. The annual plan offers a 7-day free trial for eligible subscribers; the monthly plan has no trial. The price and eligibility displayed by the App Store govern your purchase. After an eligible annual trial, the displayed annual price is charged and renews yearly until cancelled.

Manage renewal or cancel in App Store subscriptions. Cancel a trial at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid renewal. Use Restore purchases in Ringfold with the Apple Account used to subscribe. For refunds, visit Apple's refund page. If offers cannot load, check connectivity and try Reload plans; your free ordinary rule remains available. See the full billing terms.

If Pro ends, saved lists remain available to view, export, disable or delete. You can remove numbers from a disabled list. Adding numbers to a list or enabling it requires Pro. Disable every list and leave at most one ordinary rule enabled to update protection for free. A list already delivered to iOS may remain until replaced or Ringfold is disabled in iOS Settings.

Move your rules to another iPhone

Open Settings → Backups → Export rules and save the file to Files. On the other iPhone, choose Import backup in Ringfold. Review the new rules, lists and exceptions, then confirm Add to my rules. Existing entries stay unchanged and duplicates are skipped. Importing new lists or additional rules requires Pro.

Use a current version of Ringfold on the receiving phone: older versions may not accept backups containing number lists. Restore Pro separately if needed, enable Ringfold in iOS Settings and wait for the update to complete. Backups do not activate blocking or transfer a purchase. Keep exported files private because they contain phone numbers and labels.

Privacy requests

Read the Privacy Policy or email [email protected]. Screenshot recognition and number processing happen on device. Ringfold sends limited pseudonymous usage analytics automatically to Mixpanel's EU endpoint and currently has no in-app analytics switch. The policy explains deletion requests and the limits of locating installation events from an email address.
