Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
ASOcelot is a native macOS keyword research app developed by Vadim Katenin. This policy describes the app, including pre-release TestFlight builds. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
Your local workspace
ASOcelot saves your research workspace, keywords, public app metadata and source observations locally on your Mac. The developer does not receive a copy of this workspace. Public research does not require an ASOcelot account or a developer-account sign-in.
Local storage does not mean every feature is offline. The network requests and optional services below send the information needed for the action you choose.
Requests to Apple
When you fetch public App Store charts, search results, ratings or reviews, ASOcelot connects directly to Apple's services. Depending on the request, Apple receives the relevant keyword or search query, app identifier, storefront and other request parameters. As with any network connection, Apple can also receive connection information such as your IP address. Returned public app metadata and source observations are stored locally.
Optional Apple Ads and App Store Connect integrations also make requests directly to Apple using your own API access. Apple handles those requests under its service terms and Privacy Policy. ASOcelot does not route them through a developer-operated server.
Optional API credentials
If you connect Apple Ads or App Store Connect, ASOcelot stores the API credentials you provide in macOS Keychain. They are used to authenticate the requests you initiate to Apple, and are not sent to the developer. You control the access granted to those credentials and can revoke them through Apple or remove their saved copies from Keychain. Do not send passwords, private keys or API tokens in support messages.
Apple Translation
Translation using Apple's Translation framework runs locally on your Mac for supported languages. macOS manages any language-model downloads and their network connections. Availability depends on the operating system and installed language resources.
Optional Apple Intelligence
If you choose Apple Intelligence keyword generation, ASOcelot passes the selected input to Apple's system framework. On-device generation runs on your Mac. A private-cloud option is used only when you choose it and it is available and entitled; that option sends the relevant input to Apple's private-cloud service. Availability depends on the Mac, operating-system version, supported language and Apple's feature access. Apple's processing is governed by its privacy information and system settings.
Your own MCP agent
If you choose the optional MCP-agent translation workflow, the agent you connect receives the selected keyword translation request. It returns a draft for you to review in ASOcelot before applying it. The developer does not operate that agent.
The agent may send the request to a model provider or other service. Its data handling, retention, model choice and costs depend on the agent and services you configure. Review their settings and privacy terms before sending a request. A request sent to an external agent is not confined to ASOcelot's local workspace.
Analytics, advertising and diagnostics
ASOcelot has no ads, developer-operated analytics service or custom analytics SDK. It does not send product-usage events to the developer. Apple may process system diagnostics or TestFlight feedback according to the Apple services and settings you use.
Support messages
If you email support, the developer receives your email address and the information and attachments you choose to send. This correspondence is used to answer your question and resolve the issue, and is retained only as reasonably necessary for that purpose or legal obligations. Share only the details needed for your request; redact credentials and confidential research.
Retention, deletion and privacy requests
You control local workspace data and exports on your Mac. Copies in backups may remain according to your backup settings. Removing the app may not remove workspace files, exports or saved Keychain credentials. You can remove those separately and revoke API access through Apple.
Apple and your chosen agent control the information received by their services under their own policies. The developer cannot directly retrieve or erase data that exists only on your Mac or in those services.
For questions or requests concerning information you have sent to the developer, including access, correction or deletion requests, email [email protected]. We will explain any verification or technical limitations when responding.
Changes
This policy will be updated when ASOcelot's data handling changes. The date above identifies the current version.
